UK Vets Get Single Portal to Check Microchip Records Across Multiple Databases

A new centralised system now allows vets across the UK to look up a pet's microchip details from several databases in one place, at no cost — making it faster to reunite lost or stray animals with their owners. The British Veterinary Association has backed the initiative, and more database operators are anticipated to sign up over time. For pet owners, this means their contact details are more likely to be found quickly in an emergency, regardless of which database holds their registration.
